The 'Cambridge Ghost Mystery' Has Officially Been Solved

We've all seen that eerie photo circulating the Internet featuring a young girl in a forest of some kind. The grainy image was reportedly taken in the woodlands of Route 74, after the landowners decided to install some trail cams. They set up the camera for security reasons, but instead, happened to catch some supernatural craziness.

The super creepy image was brought to the Cambridge-Greenwich Police by the landowners, and was soon posted on social media with the hope of finding the identity of the child. Scarily enough, nobody came forward, hence the speculation around a possible haunting. Consequently, psychics and mediums came forward wanting to assist with the investigation, until the truth came out: the little girl is not a ghost.

The girl's grandfather eventually notified the police, identifying the little girl as his granddaughter. According to Cambridge-Greenwich Police Chief George Bell, "I don’t want to give a name until we verify it but it’s a local businessman in southern Washington County who says around the time frame that this picture was taken that he and his granddaughter were walking a four-wheeler path."

Okay, so we understand that the image supposedly is not a sign of the supernatural, but can we all agree that it is beyond creepy? Until we get further photographic proof that the accusations are correct, we're going to believe it's a ghost because... who doesn't love a good mystery?

Oh, and does anybody else find it funny that the only logical conclusion to nobody coming forward to identify the child is that she must be a ghost? There's some food for thought!
